Our Creative Founders.

Inspired to create a venue where more Latino professionals living in Northeast WI could find one another, Juan, Maria and Eddie created LPA. This organization is intended to serve members, to celebrate their success, support their aspirations, increase their engagement in all aspects of civic life and to serve as inspiration for the next generation of Latino professionals.

Maria spent 20 years in Transportation and Logistics before retiring in 2017. She earned a Political Science degree from the UCLA and an MBA from Wayne State University. Maria has 10 years teaching experience in the US & Mexico. Currently she’s an Adjunct Instructor at NWTC College of Business & CTED. Maria supports various Green Bay organizations including Casa ALBA Melanie.

Maria’s philosophy is “Professional success is the product of three key factors: Drive, Opportunity & Support.” Because it’s impossible for all three factors to be at full capacity simultaneously, paths to success are being built by the LPA.

Eddie currently works in the food/dairy industry. At Schreiber Foods for 14 years, he’s held several leadership roles including Operations, Distribution, and International Exports. In his current role, he is an International Sales Manager for regions in Asia. He enjoys supporting Schreiber’s diversity efforts and serves in two Business Resource Group (BRG) steering committees. Born in Guatemala, raised in Compton, California, Eddie then moved to Utah where he earned his degree in Law and Constitutional Studies. Several work opportunities led him to De Pere, Wisconsin, where he lives with his wife, 13-year-old daughter, their dog, and cat. In his free time, Eddie enjoys watching movies, writing, and making music playlists (he claims to be the best playlist(er) in town, well, at the very least his household).

Eddie’s philosophy towards LPA is "to help Latino professionals realize the power in our backgrounds and make connections where there haven’t been before."
