Mission
Ensuring Latinos' influence and success in all professions through networking, professional development, and advocacy in N.E.W.
Background
Founded in 2021, the Latino Professional Association of Northeast Wisconsin (LPA), reflects the growth, diversity, and evolution of the Latino community in Northeast Wisconsin. Members represent an array of industries, creating a network of Latino professionals committed to sharing experiences, resources, and connections. Together, we build paths to success that ensure a thriving Latino community in Northeast Wisconsin.

Funding Needs
Funds are essential to sustaining, innovating, and expanding our service. LPA has been volunteer led by co-founders Maria M. Lara and Juan Corpus since its inception in 2021. Our website serves as a virtual office, in-person events are hosted by local organizations or held in public spaces. Prior to 2023, all costs were absorbed by its cofounders, committed to serving LPA members and the region.
In 2024, LPA established members’ dues to fund core programming. We were fortunate to receive support from grants and donations. This year we launched a job posting service as well as a corporate membership program. Funding, however, is not yet sufficient to support our current service and core programming which includes:
1) Career Coaching Consultations, a one-on-one session(s) with LPA leaders
2) Member Meetings, in-person networking and collaboration events
3) Lunch & Learn, virtual professional development series
4) Cafecito, in-person informal networking gathers over coffee
5) Community Engagement, outreach to students, organizations and public
LPA continues to be volunteer led, additional funding would allow us to invest further in members and the region by:
1) Strengthening current programming
2) Establishing a Mentor program for members
3) Creating Internship program for local college students
4) Creating a Mentor program for Middle and High School students
We want to thank you in advance for your consideration.
